The challenge
Hotel payroll is three payrolls wearing one uniform: salaried management, waged operational staff on shift patterns, and casual workers brought in for functions. Before Force HRM, each group lived on its own spreadsheet tab, and month-end meant reconciling attendance sheets against pay rates by hand before any statutory figure could even be calculated.
What changed
Every employment type moved onto one payroll: permanent contracts for management, waged staff with attendance feeding straight into the monthly run, and daily-rate casuals added per function. PAYE, NSSF, SHIF, and the Housing Levy are computed per person across all three groups, and the filing figures are ready by the 5th, days ahead of the KRA deadline.
Where it landed
- One payroll run covers salaried, waged, and casual staff together
- Attendance and leave feed the run directly — no reconciliation tab
- Statutory returns prepared by the 5th of every month
- Every employee gets payslips and P9s in the employee app
